Ever spotted a flying squirrel gliding through torchlight?
This weekend, we find out.
We're heading into a private jungle stay near Mudumalai — no signal breaks, no schedules, just a night in the wild with a bunch of strangers who show up solo and leave as friends.
Pickup before sunrise, a proper breakfast on the road, and by noon you're checking into a streamside jungle camp — tents, bamboo treehouses, or stone cottages, take your pick. Lunch, then straight into a Forest Department core-zone safari where the sightings actually happen — elephants, gaur, if you're lucky a lot more. Golden hour at the elephant camp watching the resident giants get fed. Then back to camp as the sky turns — a roaring campfire, games that turn strangers into a group fast, and dinner under more stars than you've seen in months. Once the plates are cleared, the real adventure starts: a night walk along the stream, torches up, eyes peeled for the giant flying squirrel.
Wake to the forest at its quietest. A guided walk through the mist for birds, flora, and the kind of stillness that doesn't exist back home. Breakfast, one last hour by the stream, then the road back — with a big traditional lunch stop along the way.
You're coming solo. You won't be leaving that way.
4-sharing, split across Swiss Army tents, bamboo machan, or stone cottages, all next to a forest stream.
