Overview
A full-day trek into a pristine, off-the-grid wilderness in a protected conservation zone straddling the Karnataka–Tamil Nadu border. This is not a public tourist location, so you'll see none of the usual weekend crowds — just an intimate group of like-minded trekkers, official Forest Department guides, and raw, untouched forest. This itinerary is for the Saturday, September 5, 2026 batch.
Schedule
- 5:45 AM — Reporting at Madiwala Bus Stand (near the Police Station)
- 6:00 AM — Departure, sharp, straight onto the expressway
- Morning — Local breakfast on arrival, then the trek begins
- Midday — Packed forest lunch on the trail
- Evening — Return journey to Bengaluru

Trek Difficulty
This is a Moderate-to-Difficult trek — physically demanding, with rugged forest terrain, steep inclines, and unpaved, rocky trails. Come prepared to test your endurance.
What to Carry — Non-Negotiable
- Reusable 2-litre water bottle or hydration pack — single-use plastic bottles and disposable wrappers are banned at the entry check-post
- Valid government photo ID (Aadhaar or Driving License), physical or digital — required for the forest department entry manifest
- Sturdy trekking shoes with strong grip
- A spare set of clothes, a light rain jacket, and a cap
- Subtle, earthy, or neutral-coloured clothing — no loud colours
